Would it prove that I am really, really sad if I admitted to having that one too? There are 2,205 events listed in there! In mitigation we are quite close to the Brittany border here!

I can perhaps understand why one might frame a jigsaw that you were proud of completing yourself - but why would you want to buy one that someone else has worked on and framed??

The OH and I indulge in a rather childish game of spotting the worst tapestry of the day when we go to vide-greniers. The worst one we have ever seen was huge - about 4 feet wide, showing a naked woman on a beach surrounded by palm trees. The standard of the stitching was very high and it must have taken weeks, if not months of work. However, the skin of the subject was a most bilious shade of orange and words can not explain how hideous this picture was. It is very odd how awful they often are because there are absolutely gorgeous canvases available in France for needlewomen. I live in hope of finding a real textile masterpiece such as an old sampler!

Well I'm shocked Pipeau that you haven't yet truely intergrated into French society by having a jigsaw puzzle and a bright orange naked woman hanging on your wall - not to mention a shelf full of whisky bottle tins !
