I might pop down to my local booty to see if I can find a bargain, also when people go to booties do they haggle the seller to get a better bargain?

it's not a booty if you dont

I never ever pay what they ask, drop it down as low as you can that would be the starting point, they may say ok or they may bump it up a bit, if i cant haggle, i'll walk away

I've not yet bought to sell on, but did buy a box of 1930's Wedgwood dinnerware - in perfect condition, 12 of each piece, just plain pink dishes called Blush - that I wanted to use. It had all sorts of extra pieces that I wouldn't be using, so I sold those on, and ended up being 'paid' £45.00 to own a set of dinnerware. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

I always haggle. Okay, always is a bit strong - if something's 10p I won't insult them by trying for less. Mostly I go for bulk discounts, since anybody with one book worth buying often has three or four at least.

My best deal was when a customer gave me a box full of Optics and a couple other bits.

    Probably made about £100

Don't think I've ever bought anything at a car boot without trying to haggle apart from 10p items ! It's no fun unless you haggle !

I go to boot sales all the time looking for old diecast, Corgi, Dinky ETC but buy other stuff that catches my eye about 3/4 years back i got a Pelham Puppet for £5 i thought it was pinky or perky when i listed it it went to about £45 in 2 days then i received a message from one of the bidders telling me it was the pig from the 1960's animal series (on tv) and was rare they also said they had placed a bid but did not expect to win so i thought it best to update the advert to tell buyers and as soon as i did the price went up to over £200 and the end sale price was £475 i have had other stuff that has sold very well but this is the one i always remember
