What is a car boot sale? Never heard of such a thing. I have a vision of people getting together in a parking lot and selling out of their trunk. (cargo hold)
We call 'em flea markets. Have some around here that covers acres!
Love to all
Poppa
We have those too. Might even catch one while on holiday.
We have flea markets too Popa but those are usually professional traders with stalls in towns or cities. Car boots are usually held in a field somewhere where anybody can pay about £8 to park their car and try and clear their unwanted stuff. You do get traders turning up to the car boots but the best stalls are usually just ordinary families having a spring clean !
The worst thing about a car boot is trying to unpack your stuff as the dealers cluster around you, even trying to pull the things out of the car, like a load of vultures in case they miss a bargain !!!![]()

Our local car boot sales specialise in nicked mobile telephones, blue badges, MOT certificates, Albanian 'vodka' and fake IDs.
I think ours are policed quite well ish
Have many a time seen raids on our bootsales, the other week i done a bootsale, and had a cap gun for sale, a man came up to me and told me to take it off my table as it was illegal to sell it, said he was an enforcer but was not on duty so would not do anything, anyway there is a stall there that sells all sorts of guns, so my son went and asked them if that was true
sure enough the law and changed last year, i never new, so i took it off, if he was on duty i could of been fined quite a bit
