Sofa, Couch or Settee

Where I came from, it was called a Davenport.

but when i get funny looks from people who didn't grow up in the midwest region where i came from, i have to say "couch"

The wife hogs the 3 seater settee and I have a Stressless recliner chair and footstool, nicknamed the "8 o'clock chair", because by 8pm I'm normally snoring my head off because its soooo comfy..

We have two of them instead of armchairs, expensive but worth every penny.

For my OH it's a sofa in the lounge...

I use sofa, settee,couch as the mood takes me which is sometime in the living room and sometimes in the sitting room. I am very inconsistent
