My brother (settled in Australia and has lived there more than 20 years) has sent this message to 'all my limey friends and family in the US of England'

It is now the 6th July here but I an celebrating my independence from eBay after around 15 years. they have finally done it with the 'Managed Payment" money/power grab. There is no way to opt out of their "scheme" The only way to leaver the site for better or for worse. What they are trying to do take away a persons ability to manage their own payments and to place full trust in eBay. Well that ain't gonna happen.
Who ever runs this site, learn from eBay's folly. The Global Shipping Program was a major mistake and has contributed to the diminishing of international trade. Now I have to learn the ways of this new site. Any information would be muchly appreciated

Salutations Your Majesty. The date that it takes effect is the 22nd of July if you have not registered for Managed Payments by then it could cause some problems , like not getting paid you too should have been getting nagging messages urging you to comply and register If anyone is interested in the dialogue that I had with an eBay representative I could post it here

    Ebay might consider it treason.
