EBAY spring and may upates good for us?

As I'm sure most of you know (That Certain Site)is doing an update in a few days which to me seems not to good for all sellers, then they have another in May

Some people have already closed their shops, cancelled subscriptions for Anchor shops etc after reading the update and started selling normally while moving Website

I eventually will want to upgrade here just can't afford that yet but I can see me doing it probably in MAY

I seriously think once the (Certain Site) update hits, a few weeks after the smaller sellers will start trying alternative Websites and buyers alike

The future looks good and I predict we will see more traffic here very soon

It would also be a great time to do mass advertising


One thing I don't get is why (Certain Site) is forgetting or ignoring the UK will not be part of the EU soon and I would love to see how they will change things when that happens, it will be interesting when we leave but will it be good or bad for us

There have been many times when there has been an influx from the other side the biggest one back in 2008 when loads of us came across, that's when I started selling here full time. The lack of advertising has always been an issue, I only found out about eBid back in 2005 because a friend on the other side told me. The site was really tiny in those days so it has grown rapidly but I agree sellers here could do with some more promotional help and I would be willing to up my fvf to 3% to see that happen.

Now we all know that eBid are not going to a)advertise unless G&M feel like it or b)raise fvf to pay for it

So we have to tell the world about eBid ourselves and list tons so that when they arrive to have a look, they find something to buy.

We also need to report non-performing sellers to the management so they can be removed.

P.S. I just checked on the seller who had no method of payment on his listings, sent me a payment reminder but no invoice and never communicated again... He's history! Well done the managment!

I really wish that sellers with lots to list would do so. It's beyond me why anyone would pay the seller + fee and then not use the site for the long haul. eBid needs more good quality sellers with lots of good quality listings.
