listings missing listing relisted after being sold

sorry guys but I have some "listings"/stock that were listed but have disappeared from our listings. we also have found an item listing that we sold months ago.

That's why I'm doing a complete stock check - which is deeply depressing as I keep finding items which should be listed and are not as well as listed items which have been sold and shouldn't have been relisted.

Had a cdv photo that sold recently that i sold months ago maybe even over a year ago. If i get a neg/neutral i will be really cross!!!

I did what you are doing madelaine last Christmas! i closed all listing and started from scratch again but it seems things are still not right. I havent time to stock take or start listing from scratch again i just hope my buyers dont leave bad feedback!

Once I've done this, assuming that I am not a mental case (only just joking.. I'm finding this tiresome and depressing), I will be keeping a close watch on listing numbers, broken down by shop & category - I must, not as I did last time I started to keep watch, get complacent and give up.

Next time it happens I will be able to deliver chapter and verse.

More than willing to help anyone with queries but do need specific information to look into deeper.

Realise it is frustrating some of you, all our checks up until now have not found any problems though. I wish they would have, so we could actually make a change if one is found to be needed.

Thank you, Gazza, but I reported items being relisted without me doing anything in October 2012 (I know because I was in Canada).

The whole thing is not helped by the unreliability of item counts on various pages. I know that the listings link from my profile gives a correct total but the shop totals either on my profile or at the top of the shop homepage are crazy unless I do nothing for 24 hours to let them catch up. This, of course, is messed up by sales if they happen.

Now, keeping track is made very difficult by the totals problem mentioned above.

I've done nothing to my listings for a couple of hours and nothing has sold. I have 4565 listings running but the total in stores adds up to 4564. I have exported my listings and opened them with Excel. I then checked column C and all the listings are in shops. To add to the confusion, although all about me says that I have 116 listings in Prospect Hospice Collectables(and, indeed, that is the correct number), when I open the shop it says I have 136!

How am I supposed to keep track? And where is my extra item?

I've also noticed that some listings that should be in the archives aren't. They have just disappeared.

Example: Auction ID #38427070 - which was a soft toy Gorilla I sold to meebo1.

That's not the only one to vanish over the years.

I've noticed that in the past too Mel, I have gone into the archive to check on something and just get a message that the item is no longer there.

Just been having a trawl and it looks like more of the items I have sold are not in the archive than are there. As I am not what you could call a prolific seller then what must such a seller's be like?

As I keep saying, far too much time spent on bling rather than getting the site core functions working correctly.
