In fact once Google Shopping became a paid for service, I could not see any way the business could continue to offer the service free of charge to eBid sellers.
My post intended a much broader perspective.

Well I think the hysteria should stop. As I said we subscribe to eBid and if we are not competitive we will not sell. I do not make inflammatory statements, merely state the facts.

I have seen items on here at crazy high prices, I have seen stamps listed at £10 that I price at £1 or even less. I have loss leaders to tempt buyers.

I think everyone should stop moaning about eBid and build and show some business acumen.

    Best wishes
    Alan

I have always wondered about Google Shopping.
Has it been expanded to many other countries yet ?

Many people report they get lots of views on ebid but not many sales, so if ebd are playing Google for ecah click (and they probably are), then it could be costing them a lot.

I wonder if many people actually use it to search for collectibles.
    TV/s DVDs ipads yes - 18th century vases ?

Whoaah - what a sweeping statement. There are many of us listing at rock-bottom prices in the hope of selling. Yes, there are inflated prices, but don't tar all those who just cannot make sales with the same brush.

Stamps, I don't thing that being slightly concerned at the idea of eBid banning a seller with no warning is hysterical or being a barrack room lawyer.
Maddie too much hysteria on here. List items and hope that the buyers are there. eBid do NOT ban sellers without good reason xx

As it looks right now, I was the only one to receive the original email. So what is good reason for eBid to single me out for non Google exposure?

There could be others that haven't come to the forum. Have you contacted ebid again?

As far as Google Shopping is concerned we were told that the reason we had the ads in our listings was to cover the cost. If you did not like the ads you could opt out of GS. They have also stated that they would be looking at non performing listings which is fine by me, as long as it is done correctly. We all know that there are sellers who have priced items that are unlikely to sell, and for me these should be the first to get the email. That would serve one of two purposes. It would either reduce eBids costs and attain the same sales or the seller would rectify the situation, adjust their costs and achieve a sale and a FVF for eBid. But as has been discussed several times what is a fair price.
