    Good to see your Pipeau.
PMSL - Essex gets around a bit doesn't it, either that or there are some very confused sellers out there let alone the buyers !

Yes if ebid got more buyers for us, then as you say, sellers would become much more active.
It would be a virtuous circle.
But with some sellers not performing its not going to be easy.

    Too many sellers
    List too high
    Don't reply
    Doint send
    Don't use gallery
Use RUS when they should use BIN 7 days etc
    Don't give good descriptions.

But it is good that Gazza is going to tighten up a bit.

An auction site such as ebid can never be "perfect" they are dealing with thousands/millions of different people.

I have reported my non-selling seller to support as well.

I am mindful of a remark made on another thread about telling support every time so they find it easier to do what we want than to ignore us.

Thanks Becky i didn't know it put it in your watch list when asking a question, the seller didn't answer & the auction is gone, it was a seller that was promoting the other e site so maybe ebid removed them

Imagine you're a buyer and you quite like the look of a widget on eBid. Except that the buyer hasn't been seen for 6 months. So you search again and maybe that buyer hasn't been seen for three months.

    What goes through your head?

Is it... Maybe I'll search again, 3rd time lucky (or 4th, or 5th).
Or is it... Sod this, I'm off to [insert other site here].

The listings have to go, so that when the buyer searches, they find the widget available to them from a seller who is definitely ready (emergencies excluded) to sell it to them.

    Agreed .

I'm not quite sure that would be a workable solution in the case of Seller+ Lifetime members. I would think it could result in legal issues. However, it might be possible to put listings on hold if the seller fails to respond to buyers questions or to complete transactions.

Actually, I'm still not convinced that the issue of Dump & Run sellers can be addressed with RUS & Start at First Bid options in place.
