How does your auction for RLNI goodies work?

Please explain again but in "Idiot's guide" language.

You bid as much as you want. I spend £10 on your behalf, and pay all the postage. If you bid under 10 and win, you get even more of a bargain. If you bid over 10 you've been especially generous and the extra goes into the RNLI coffers. I've made it a Dutch auction so there are more chances of winning, and to mix up the fun a bit more.
