Thank you for the kind comments. Each of them served in both world wars - having been made redundant in between. And then our mothers both married soldiers (which, for those who don't know the Royal Navy, is regarded as marrying down!)

LOL! Sounds like the same rivalry that goes on here between the Army and Navy, especially during football season. I worked with both for a while at the local post, great guys all, I miss them.
