Previous experience with this option you will get the occassional strange person who will offer a silly amount like a dollar on some auctions but in general most genuine offers will be within 90 to 80 per cent of listed price.
Yes I would like an optional choice of MAKE AN OFFER
No I would not like an optional choice of MAKE AN OFFER
I don't care either way.

I understand the owners have stated this will become an option but there is still an eBid poll for it on search pages!!??
!! SUCCESS !!
Make an Offer
We will be launching our "Make an Offer" system in April. It is a major enhancement to the eBid site and will bring with it a whole new dimension to selling online.
The premise is that together with your BuyNow price you will be able to tick a box on the listing form that will allow a potential customer to make you an offer. It will be completely optional, some sellers will not find it useful whereas some will benefit greatly. Really depends on the goods you are selling.
Keep a look out on the Site Update Notifications forum thread for news when it goes live.
A little late to the party to add to the poll, but I vote yes and very glad to hear this will soon be available!
I'm transitioning from eBay right now and "make an offer" is something I always offered to my fixed price listings. More often than not it has helped make the sale. At the very least you begin an interaction and/or dialogue with potenitial buyer, who are now more comfortable coming back in the future even if you can't agree on a price now for that particular item.
We fought long and hard for this. I most definitely will use this option on some of my items. From what I gather, the 'haggling' bit will only be a 1 to 1 affair - 1 offer 1 accept - that's it. I could be wrong, hopefully Gazza will see this and shed some light on the matter.
Just out of interest........
At the moment, one can look at someones feedback, click on the item in question on that feedback, and view the price the item was sold for.
If someone makes an offer for an item, and it is accepted...
Which price will show up as the ''item sold'' price afterwards?
The original selling price, or the accepted offer price.
