C'mon now ebidders let's buy some ebay stock!!!????

Ad's on the left side of our page keep changing there was just one for liquidation.com which I can assure you is not a gambling facility or a penny auction site. I'm sure eBid is paid well for allowing google to place ads here but can we get the references to ebay or any other auction site permanentely removed? It's like walking into a McDonalds and seeing a poster at the counter showing Burger King whoppers are $1.00 now.

Since this thread was started, I've never seen so many auction sites in my life - It seems that for every site eBid slaps a ban on, there's 10 more that appear.

Since they are Google ad's they change it seems to be hourly. The boys need to contact Google and eliminate auction sites from the ad rotation.

I regularly see links on here either direct to ebay or to sites offering ebay addons and help.

Depending on the ad setup these things are going to be quite normal.
In this case ebid will have ads which relate to its topic which is auctions. If its a package which runs on keyword affiliation thats to be expected. Subsequently it could be better to get a package which classes the site as a broader high turnover user destination as this would give a much greater potential for both ad rotation and number of sites that want to be seen here. Sites like facebook don't advertise other social sites they have a broad package which targets the potential demand of users. Places to eat, shop, meet, date etc. Fleabay generally advertise banks, couriers and stationary suppliers in the main because those things can be useful to users, but they also have ads for big retailers like HMV, Sony etc.

At present its to be expected that for every auction ad you ban, another will appear because there are millions of auction related businesses and guides across the web all wanting traffic so the pigeon-holing of ebid as an auction site and the related keyword for the ads will make it a never-ending process. To stop it you need to contact whichever ad company is used and negotiate a general rule.

To maximise profit from ads and to get ads of a higher quality, use a better service. Better still manage your own ad system
Just realised i needed to mod my old signature. No set categories yet, but i'll work on that now i am back and update as able

Although the ads on the auction pages appear to be Google I think the ads on the forums are actually through impressionz.com which is why there is a small tagline by the adverts.I understand this is a company owned by one of the eBid directors
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else

I am going to laugh my socks off when ebid have to introduce higher fvfs because they are losing money from the ads which folks are requesting to be removed.
