    Dear oh dear.
I think some of you will end up being sent to bed early if you don't behave.

I see ads like this popping up all over the screen whenever I search for something I want to buy. As Kimbo said, it's standard practice. I do believe eBay and Amazon are the most frequent buttinskis, no surprise there, they have the biggest advertising budgets. What surprised me at first was the fact that these unasked for links generally do NOT offer whatever I was looking for. Now I realize they're automated, just hoping the user will link to them in case they do happen to have the product.

I focus on the site/company/product I was looking for and ignore the garbage . . . excuse me, unwanted ads . . . surrounding my target. I suspect this is true of most people who use the internet as often as I do. No different than tuning out the commercials on TV or the radio; I don't even hear them anymore.
