I am in the process of converting a number of my Auctions-AND-Buy Now listings to Buy now ONLY listings with price change.
I keep having to go back in and re-edit for the change to take effect. I am either doing something wrong or there is a glitch.
Here is what happens at its simplest
1. I click the Seller Options : Edit/Close Auction
2. I tick the "Fixed Price" then "Run Until Sold" box, then change the Buy Now price
3. I press "Preview Changes" button
At this point the price change doesn't show as having taken effect, so I...
4. Click the "Edit Auction Details" button on the floating "Preview Your Auction" strip
When I go back in, I notice also that in Section Three the fixed price change hasn't taken effect, so I change it again, this takes me back to step 3 above. This time, sensing a workaround is needed, I press the "Save Changes" button on the floating "Preview Your Auction" strip
I then have to go in and re-edit the Buy Now price again, as it has not taken effect first time around.
This is in Firefox and Google Chrome.
I also have had a page comes up warning me about the auction length needing editing (despite it being a Buy Now), but I now that I am in test mode, I can't seem to replicate this, and can't remember where in the process this happens (i'll post more info if and when that happens again).
[EDIT regarding this - more info as promised]
OK what is happening is that, knowing I have to do a "workaround" I just go ahead and press the "Save Changes" button on the floating "Preview Your Auction" strip first time around. This then brings uo the following screen regarding auction length, which I am puzzled about, as it does not relate to the relevant radio button. I do click back and go through the process as outlined above.
Separate but related issue
Re the above: At one point I was thinking that I would have to confirm the change by pressing the enter button when the cursor was in the Section Three: Buy Now Price box. This brought up a separate issue. This caused a tick to appear in the Section Four:
"Extra Photo £0.03"
...which being a tight-ar*e over thrupence, I wasn't prepared to let go through, so can't test any further.
This is going to catch the unwary out with extra charges - Yes? No?
Huge apologies if I am doing something wrong.
More INFO (relating to post #13 and #16 later in this thread)
Also when F5 is pressed it add a tick in the in the SECTION FOUR - Listing Type - Featured.Which in turn will add £1.00 fees/listing edit for the unwary
