*I* think it's really neat and pretty. Not sedate or unobtrusive but very interesting.

The more unusual it is the less there are likely to be around and hopefully it will be worth more! Some collector is probably looking for it------we can keep dreaming and hopeing.

I listed these on the other side under collectibles - ethnicity, Mexican and got 8 hits on the platter less on the other pieces. I now have them in my "ranch" shop. Elizabeth and I are getting ready for an auction - soon, I hope. I'm having a terrible time getting the auctioneer to come, will probably try someone else at this point. I will have some different things - not sure when. We are also trying to get one more load of steel to the scrap yard before the weather clips our wings. After the local auction and steel load and getting a bldg winterized, maybe I can come out to play again.

I wish we lived closer, I love to sort though "stuff" and I have a son who is an auctioneer. He specializes in farm machinery auctions. He went to Tulsa on Wed (the 1st Wed of every month) and was near Kansas City today.

Me too! I'm not trying to get everything on this auction, just trying to clear a building that I sold. It's been rented out for several years, and the renter left some things behind in the hopes I could sell them and I am adding some things I don't want to ship. Like an auger for a PHD. A farm machinery auctioneer would be a great help. We may have a JD 40 and I will probably put on my 60 and I'm thinking about my MF TE-20. If your son understands all that, he's my guy. LOL!

He would understand all of it. He was raised in this auction/used machinery enviroment and knows it frontwards and backwards. To give you an idea, when my husband got his cell phone I asked what the number was and he said "a cornhead and a JD tractor". It took a little while for me to get it memorized using real numbers.

LOL! There's quite a wide selection there, but I could probably get it first time around if I were local.

Have you tried checking with KOVELS.com?

It looked Mediterranean, possibly from Tuscany, to me. But that's not my specialty.

You might also try contacting Doug at A1 Auctions. He's a recognized authority on pottery & ceramics. Message me if you want his contact info.

Going to check Kovels now, didn't know about that one. I check with Ruby Lane and Tia's most of the time.
