I don't recall anyone suggesting that they do it in the actual auction listings. That's a no-no on any site.
Goodmorning everyone. I did what I had to, and hopefully ebid will sort it out, But I went back to make sure I wasn`t seeing things and had to triple check. and I was right, it definitley was a link to their ebay auctions. I hate being a rat, but we are all here because we have either chosen to leave ebay or got booted from their , what ever the case maybe for some. But to advertize your auctions while your still selling their, linking the two, uh ohh, your right a NO NO.

PLUS SIZE FASHIONS BOUTIQUE 541 auctions

    TREASURED PATTERNS CRAFTS 138 auctions

    Attic Treasure Collectibles 360 auctions

It is not correct to say that in respect of everybody on eBid 'we have either chosen to leave ebay or got booted from there'. Furthermore, it is not in eBid's interests to have eBay's problem sellers come here because of the risk that eBid customers will experioence the poor quality of service that got the sellers kicked off the other site.

Sorry, but that's not just wrong, it's libellous! Many ebid sellers still use eby. I did when I first joined eBid, and I'll probably still use them from time to time. I certainly haven't *left* and I even more certainly have never been booted off!

Many sellers sell on many sites and places to make a living - people decide where they can get sales and do what they have to do. Why should anyone object to that?

eBid is great - I enjoy it here and it suits my needs. Many people are starting here slowly and some have moved here completely. Luckily there is still freedom of choice

Oh Please, did you not read what I said, I said "what ever the case maybe for some" Do`nt acuse me of labeling people, please, that is not what I was doing. We have people on here yes that sell both and other places as well, we have people on here that yes have been booted off ebay, and they never were trouble makers, we have all kinds here, and i'm not judging anyone, I was simply trying to verify if advertizing was allowed, I did not think so, so i came to the forums to ask, got what I needed and triple checked and did what i thought was right, I AM NOT ATTACKING anyone like you all just did me by not READING what I said.

You used the phrase, and I quote, "we are all here because we have either chosen to leave ebay or got booted from their (sic)".

That's "we" and "all". Please don't get aggressive just because somebody points out that you can't say things like that. There are several good defences for libel (note not label) but "I said something else that was supposed to mean something else somewhere else in the post" isn't one of them. I think if you look again at what you *said* you will realise you were mistaken. A sensible reaction would be "sorry, of course that's not what I mean, I'll edit my post so it doesn't give the wrong impression".

I understand how you feel about "ratting"~ but it's in everyone's interest to play by the rules.

Most of us use every site we can. The sites know this and no one can blame us.

I sell on a variety of sites including the bay. However, I don't advertise my listings on other sites in posts on different venues. That's what Facebook & MySpace are for.
