    Sorry~ should of got back to this sooner. Family life interrupted~ (how dare they )

    Thanks for all the suggestions~ tall building Kimbo, was not such a bad idea~

    It has started slowing down~ running Vista, and useing Firefox.

    Gonna try some of the tips on here~ (not the building one~ scared of heights)

    I agree with Patriot73, you should have at least 2gig RAM with Vista. Make sure you have enough hard disk space as vista needs it.

    It's when you wipe your hard drive and reload everything. XP I believe calls it a destructive recovery.

    Can this be successfully done by removing all programs? Or do I need to be more computer savy than that? I have all of the installation disks so can put everything back on that I need an do updates with Microsoft.

    There's more to it than that.

    Thanks for that link. It all looks doable but what are partitions? How will I know how to set them?

    Thanks for all of the help here, I'm sure you all have more important things to do!

    I would take the computer to a shop but it is such a pain to unhook everything.
