    Gothcina,

I clicked on your link and this is that I've got:

    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
    US
    United States
    71.99.179.170

Still see a blank advanced (and simple) editor.

    With Vista...Go into

    START
    ACCESSORIES
    SYSTEM TOOLS
    INTERNET EXPLORER ( NO ADD-ONS )

This will take you on-line. Login as normal then type in eBid.net or whatever and away you go. It will have written across the top 'You are running IE7 with add-ons disabled' or words to that affect.

When you start listing everything will look the same as before except some of the icons will be missing from the WYSIWYG.

I'm off to bed. Good luck.

    One other thing.

You will have to do this everytime you want to list, amend, sell similar, repost this auction.

The problem with the WYSIWYG seems to have something to do with add-ons. I don't know what add-ons I've got that's corrupting things but disabling it works. But like I said you only have to do this when listing etc. Otherwise just go on-line as normal.

Unless you are now using Firefox, then forget everything I've written here as don't know anything about Firefox.

    1) Can you go to Tools > Internet Options in IE7 and make sure your settings are NOT on HIGH

    2) Can you click the New Document button on the editor and tell me if you are able to add content from scratch

    3) Can you confirm the problem does not occur when using Firefox

    4) Can you press the fullscreen button on the WYSIWYG advanced editor and tell me if you see any content

    5) Can you press the HTML button on the WYSIWYG advanced editor and tell me if you see any content
    Hi Gazza,
Just a point - I have reported this problem on two seperate occasions in the past with the WYSIWYG Editor (Advanced) failing to load, and in my case 'stuck' at the point where only the html editor partially loads but without the buttons along the top.
I don't have Vista - just XP SP3. Problem occurs in IE7 AND Firefox 3. It has actually happened to me on 6 or 7 occasions all told.
However, I can say that the problem always self-rectifies over time, usually within a day or so. I agree that it is very strange, particularly as it affects Vista powered computers too.
I did point out that the loading indicator bar at the bottom of the page showed that one item still was waiting to load - always appeared to be relating to a picture, from adviva or other similar site.
    Hope that helps.

    Carol.

    Thanks for the info.
If I have to do it every time, I think I will just give myself repetitive strain injury hitting the paste button in the wysg as I only get a problem copy & pasting into the description box.

Will try firefox when I get rid of this cold some booger was kind enough to pass on to me.

    Smile About listing an item.......

I am having trouble listing an item, Plain text works fine, but the WYSIWYG doesn't make me write in the white, why is that? I tried everything you said to do like going to tools, and making sure the IE7 is not on high, Can you please help, thanks.

    Arrow ATTN: Gazza (my report)

I use Windows XP on two machines.
All have same problem as described by others where a white text box appears with no other view options working, be it IE, Firefox or Opera latest versions. Initially, I can see the html code before the 'blank box' appears. This box is editable. I have typed in it but haven't bothered saving to see what happens. (BTW I am editing a repost listing)

In IE. Disabling Add-Ons did nothing.
I disabled Javascript and it gives me html view but without icons. No WYSIWG available.

Can't Figure out Opera so given up with that one.

Just installed Firefox. Could edit, but when trying to update a Link within description (WYSYWIG view), the Link window refused to go away.
I went in to Tools / Add-Ons and disabled the only one item in there: Java Quick Starter 1.0 . All is working fine so far.

Hope this helps with your problem solving. Perhaps you could place a summary of resolution here for those that may still be having problems?....

Are there any more developements to the WYSIWYG problem?

I'm still having to amend, re-list, sell similar etc by logging out to desktop and logging back in via IE7 ( no-add ons ). I didn't mind to start with as just grateful to list my items but TBH it's getting to be a bit of a pain now.

Is anybody else still having this problem?

    Carol.

I am still having trouble, at times last night I could not relist, nor could I edit the length of time listing runs. I just gave up in the end.

When I can edit I seem to have to do more clicks.
