Default Popularity of different jewellery types

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering which types of jewellery sellers have found are more popular? I know there is a lot of handmade jewellery on ebid but does it tend to sell better than others?
Also, I am selling handmade beaded charms (for mobiles, handbags, etc) but is there much of a market for these on ebid or do you think fine jewellery (necklaces, earings, etc) more popular?

    Hi Laura -
I've seen just about every sort of jewellery sell on here - there seems to be alot more costume and dress than precious and period, but the site is changing so fast that almost anything has a very good chance.
As far as I can tell, it's having enough choice that really matters.

    Hi Laura,

At the moment my best sellers are the Indian semi-precious stone bracelets and earrings and the heavier, solid silver bracelets. I also have a buyer who's going crazy over my beaded rings just now - she's bought 41 so far.

I can't really say how well the handmade stuff is going 'cos I haven't had time to make any for ages.

    Good luck with your sales!

Good luck Pistol, I love your signature picture, do put up a link so I can have a butchers at your stuff.

I've just started here as well, even if I don't sell much it's an amazing cheap marketing tool.

    Hello and welcome,
Like you I make handbag charms and they seem quite popular at the moment so I would definately say yes on those.
I think it is always good to offer a variety too as every ones tastes are different, so just put on a real mixture.

    hi
I sell indian jewellery with semi precious stones and indian glass beads, I do ok on the other side but its been really hard to get it going here, I assume its because I am a newbie with no feedback as such, because that sort of jewellery does seem popular at the moment, havn't listed much in the jewellery store, but now trying to add a few a day now,
hoping christmas will get it going
please take a look advice (or sales) is appreciated
    suzanne xx
