Thread: Has Anyone Ever Heard Of Or Seen A Nine "bob" Shilling Note

  1. #11

Angry switched from buy it now to auction

switched from buy it now to auction but still very very very quite over here.

eBid seems to need lookers as much as buyers

I find it impossible to complete that poll, because it has 3 very positive (but different) answers, and one very negative one. I think it's harmless, and if you enjoy doing them, why not? You say something about it making a business card, but how would you work that? Are they blank on the back and you can put your details on there? If there'd been an option "it's a bit of a gimmick, but harmless" I'd have chosen that.

    Angry slow-slow- quick ? quick ? - slow

all this time and just got my first bid, albeit 50p. great timing, 10 day auction kicks into play just as i'm off on hols for a week. thats going upset my first ever buyer on eBid.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CONTACT A BIDDER OTHER THAN ASKING A QUESTION VIA THEIR SALES SITE ?

also had my first win last night on an ebid auction . paid straight away and nothing as yet.

i have actually taken a few listings off as they sold better a live auction.

are things really that slow on this site ?

As I believe the original saying is 'As bent as a nine bob note' I don't believe it is an association I would want made to me as a seller.

For that same reason I ditched a long time tag of 'The Poacher' when I came to sell online and adopted 'Astral' (I had just bought an Astra) instead.

    Lightbulb valid point

hi, very valid point, not so much a dodgy seller just a play on words as i use nine-bob-note on the other auction site the fact that Bob is my name and hopefully puting some fun into selling on the way. simply a subtle change of names on eBid.

Post on the more serious side. please read.

hi, i know this is plug your auction, but please take time to look at another forum under BIDDING & BUYING - THEN ( advise please, seller now has line going through his user name). For all of us new member, all is not as rosie and safe on this is site as you may think.
