The calm is over again. At least the GP was Mil when she wasn't all 'there'. He said he'll talk to mental health. What that will bring I cannot imagine. But right now I feel like taking one of her 'happy pills'. I am glad we are going on Monday. We will travel from Dover to Dunkerque - at least that is the plan.

Hurrah the stitches are out and he agreed it was probably the stitches making my tongue ulcerate ! They all came out O.K. apart from the last one which had embedded in the bone graft and that made me yelp !

I now have to wait until the beginning of April before he cuts me open again to put in the raised metal posts for the bridge.
I had to laugh when I walked in he said 'Oh, you are still speaking to me then ?!'

You should have answered: 'with difficulty'

Meebo - I really feel for you. It's so hard caring for someone who isn't in the same time or thought zone. No doubt you feel really run ragged, as well as pushed to the brink of sanity at times. It's really great that you are getting a break. If I lived closer, I'd give you a hand. As it is, I can only give you my admiration and mental support.......

I second that. It was bad enough with Holly (old dog) when she went blind, deaf, incontinent and had a bad heart. I dont think i'd be able to cope with a person the way you do. You deserve a medal

Well Private Buttons will be proud of me, I think I'm learning lessons from her. I just had a call from Bristish Gas and the conversation went like this :-

Salesman - I'm just phoning, as you used to be one of our customers, to tell you about a new tariff we can offer.

Me - Yes I used to be a customer but we have only just left you and switched.

Salesman - But if we can offer you this new tariff would you come back ?

Me - No we have only just switched and are now getting a good deal with our new provider.

Salesman - But we can now offer you a better deal.

Me - Well you should have looked after your customers and not charged such high prices in the first place.

Salesman - Well the new tariff wasn't available then.

Me - Tough ! Bye - bye.
