Apparently the Jet Stream is much lower in the Atlantic than normal because of the ice storms, etc. in North America - all this weather should've been passing to the North of us and up into the Arctic.

Hurrah the stitches are out and he agreed it was probably the stitches making my tongue ulcerate ! They all came out O.K. apart from the last one which had embedded in the bone graft and that made me yelp !

I now have to wait until the beginning of April before he cuts me open again to put in the raised metal posts for the bridge.
I had to laugh when I walked in he said 'Oh, you are still speaking to me then ?!'
