On some collector sites this is described as: Luminous dial. 1960?  But viewing it in the dark I don't see anything, so don't buy if that's a  feature you want.

 

It does run, at the time of writing this it's been running ok for about 20 minutes.  I've wound it fully and will see how long it goes. Still running the following morning, but has lost about a quarter of an hour.  Clearly needs a service.

 

Until starting these listings I knew nothing about Westclox and the long history of the Baby Bens (since the 1910s), and the many dozens of different models.  What little gems they are, no wonder they're highly collectible.

 

I think it's one of the ones described on this page: https://clockhistory.com/0/westclox/series/series-14-1/style-22-1.html though it doesn't quite match any of them.  E.g. the base is slightly different.  But stamped into the back is 'Westclox Scotland' and I've no reason to doubt it's genuine.

 

Have a good look at the photos.  The paintwork is definitely not perfect.  I think you can see in the photos it could do with a good clean, but I'll leave that to the buyer.  I started to clean the paintwork with meths, which I would have thought gentle enough and it began to remove the paint.
