Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1969 Jerry Paris Comedy VIVA MAX!, based on the novel by Jim Lehrer and starring Peter Ustinov, Pamela Tiffin, Jonathan Winters, John Astin, Keenan Wynn, Harry Morgan, Alice Ghostley and Kenneth Mars.
Viva Ustinov, in fine fettle with a daft accent as a colourful Latin American general leading a motley crew across the US border to retake the Alamo as a tourist attraction for Mexico.
The poster art is by Jack Davis (1924 - 2016). An American cartoonist and illustrator, known for his advertising art, magazine covers, film posters, record album art and numerous comic book stories. He was one of the founding cartoonists for Mad (an American humour magazine founded in 1952 by editor Harvey Kurtzman and publisher William Gaines) in 1952. His cartoon characters are characterized by extremely distorted anatomy, including big heads, skinny legs and large feet.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
