On November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom, which was established in 2014 by a Presidential Decree to promote the ideals of freedom and democracy in Ukraine, honor the patriotism and courage of citizens who stood up to defend democratic values, human rights and freedoms, the national interests of the state and its European choice.

This day, nine years apart, two fateful events for modern Ukraine began: The Orange Revolution in 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity in 2013.
