118 YEARS OLD ONE PENNY KING EDWARD VII POST CARD * CARTE POSTALE postal history from WHOLESALE & EXPORT, CABINET MAKERS, MANUFACTURING UPHOLDERERS, LOOKING GLASS MANUFACTURERES, 31-41, Worship Street, London, E.C. with a circular postmark dated LONDON E.C 33 ~ MY 22 03 addressed to Mep Malcomass & Co, Merchant, East London Cape Colnony with an arrival postmarking dated  EAST LONDON ~ JU 12 3 , in good to fine condition.

Please refer to attached image for the century old elegant cursive writing on cover. Hope I have read the Addressee and Address correctly!! It's a courtesy message to the merchant about a new representative Mr PERCY E. GATES as the new agent for South Africa who is due to arrive at Cape Town about June 16th. Looks like the postcard arrived 4 days ahead of the arrival of Mr Gates.

A fine piece of century old postal history for study on early postal routes between Great Britain and South Africa in the 1900s. A post card took a total of 20 days to deliver, according to the initiating and arrival postmarks.
