Simplicity 7162 sewing pattern. This 1975 vintage pattern, can be used to make an adult clown costume in a size Medium 36-38.
Most of the pattern has already been cut out.

Simplicity 7162

ADULT AND BOYS' AND GIRLS' CLOWN COSTUME:
The costume with drawstring at neck edge has raglan sleeves, back zipper, and elastic casings at wrists and ankles forming self ruffles. V. 1 with rick-rack pom-pon trim features contrasting patches. V. 2 has rick-rack and button trim. V. 1 & 2 have contrasting detachable neck ruffle trimmed with rick-rack. Braid trimmed V. 3 with self fabric bow features contrasting sleeves and vest with stand-up collar and button trim. Hat V. 1 & 2 have rick-rack, pom-pon and button trim. Hat V. 3 with braid and button trim has turned down point.

SUGGESTED FABRIC TYPES:
Cottons and blends; broadcloth, cambric, seersucker, cotton sateen, poplin, gingham. Synthetics and blends; home-spun, canvas. Neck ruffle V. 1 & 2 also in organdy. V. 3 costume also in even lengthwise stripes.

SEWING NOTIONS:
Thread, 5-1/2 yds. of 1/2" wide single fold bias tape, 1-3/4 yds. of 1/4" wide elastic. Neckline zipper: 12" for sizes 2-4, 14" for sizes 6-8, 10-12, 22" for sizes small, medium, large. V. 1-2: Yam for pom-pons. V. 1: Seven 1/2" buttons for hat. V. 2: Sixteen 1/2" buttons. V. 3: Seven 5/8" buttons.

The envelope is in very poor condition with rips along the top and sides. Part of the rear top is missing. The side seam has come apart. Someone has written their name on the front of the envelope and the front is stained. (see Pictures).

The pattern pieces are in fair condition.
