Roman Sheep Toga Speculum Forum Antique School Latin Card

bg324  This is an antique very early 1900s almost 5.5" x 3.5" postcard of the Speculum Imperii Romani and the garden where a lamb is being attended to and the Romans in togas  but on reverse is (instead of a message area as a postcard would have) instead has a Latin training card for schools in Italy to teach the Latin language. Whilst I have not scanned the reverse (I can on request) it has a list of vocabulary related to the view, key sentences and an overall Latin summary of the souvenir). It would seem designed that students would trade and swop these around the turn of the century to help with Latin learning. This has such character and would seem to date circa 1905 - small corner fraying etc but very good condition indeed.
