on the back is written : Newcastle Class B Cars no.s284 & 266 in Blackett Street probably mid 1920s, but note lack of route no. stencils at this time. ( looking E. towards Wallsend).

Car 284 ex Stanhope Street to Wallsend (Park Road) on the joint service with the cars of the Tyneside Company, would later have shown service 27 in the offside top deck window. Note coats of arms on top deck panels, these were not used in later years
