Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1973 Franklin Schaffner Drama PAPILLON, based on the book by Henri Charrière and starring Steve McQueen, Dustin Hoffman, Victor Jory, Don Gordon, Anthony Zerbe, Robert Deman, Woodrow Parfrey, Bill Mumy, George Coulouris and Richard Farnsworth.
The epic story of Henri "Papillon" Charrière, a safecracker from the Parisian underworld who is framed for murder and condemned to life in the notorious penal colony on Devil's Island. Determined to regain his freedom, Papillon forms an unlikely alliance with convicted counterfeiter Louis Dega, who in exchange for protection, agrees to finance Papillon's escape.
Poster art by Tom Jung a Chinese American, born in 1942, and raised and educated in Boston, Massachusetts. He is an advertising art director, graphic designer and illustrator best known for his movie poster art, and a motion picture storyboard artist.
