Three teenage girls come of age while working at a pizza parlor in Mystic Connecticut. Mystic,is a town that depends on seafood and tourism. One of the places locals and tourists alike go to eat is a small pizzeria called Mystic Pizza,run by a tough talking motherly figure Leona and her guarded pizza recipe that makes people return for more.If you want good service the 3 female waitresses are here for you. With unforgettable pizza these girls may have an unforgettable year. Meet JoJo a petite little firecracker who loves her long-term boyfriend Bill but is afraid marriage will be way more than she can handle. Good girl Kat,not a beauty but intelligent yet naive. Her mother's pride and joy on her way to Yale on a partial scholarship and working 3 other jobs to get there. She's going to learn that intelligence doesn't get you everywhere and she has a lot to learn about life. There's Daisy, Kats sister,the town beauty. Sick of constantly being compared to her sister she lives for the day and has a great time when she can. Daisy meets a guy from a wealthy family and they start dating. Being poor may be bad but she's going to find out the grass isn't always greener on the other side and coming from a wealthy family has a price too. Follow their adventures in life and see if the girls find answers to their questions and problems and will they ever find out the answer to the most frequent questions- What's in the pizza?
