Opened in 1989 and towering 127 feet above the town this unique museum boasts many exhibits such as: R.N.L.I., H. M. Coastguard, Ships Bells, models and old photography recording shipwrecks and the Withernsea lifeboats and heroic crews. Part of the museum is dedicated to local girl Kay Kendall (famous film star of the 50's). Views from the lamproom are breathtaking, especially after climbing the 144 steps!'
