- Comments: Ludlow Castle is very accessible castle on foot, built in the 11th century for Roger de lacy. It has undergone several changes and ownerships since then. Henry VIII’s brother even spent a honeymoon here. You can even stay in the castle grounds yourself as some apartments are available to book.
