Great antique LARGE 1.6kg fine binding hardback book from 1898 containing bound issues of The Strand Magazine from July to December 1898. Volume 16. 

Includes six chapters of the Arthur Conan Doyle story "Round The Fire". Also includes the first ever publication of H G Wells' science fiction short story "The Stolen Body" plus H G Wells' "Mr Ledbetter's Vacation". 

Contains photos and illustrations throughout. Photos 1 to 3 show wear to the top of the spine cover but does not impact on page binding inside. Photos 15 to 19 show the index pages. Binding and pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 126 years old. 

Measures 23.5cm tall x 17cm wide x 4.25cm thick. Weighs 1.6kg.
