Pride of Jesse Hallum The story of Jesse Hallum (Johnny Cash) a coal miner from the age of 14, who has recently been widowed and is facing change. A proud man, Jesse is forced to confront his illiteracy when he and his family move from their Kentucky farm to the big city in Ohio. Johnny Cash plays a great role in "The Pride of Jesse Hallum" and is very believable (as I am from Kentucky). This is a must see movie, especially for any school age child who feels it is a waste of time going to school and learning. The other movie on this disk depicts Cash as a criminal and is nowhere as good as the first one.
