ICP monitors are devices that measure the intracranial pressure (ICP) and are generally placed in any patient in whom there is concern for elevated ICP.

F iberoptic intraparenchymal brain pressure monitoring

The Fiber optic ICP monitor has a pressure sensative membrane on the tip of a disposable monitor-
The intraparenchymal fibroeptic ICP monitoring system Camino V420 displays intracranial pressure waveforms and a mean pressure value. The catheter is zeroed before placement in the mounting bolt. Depth of catheter placement is facilitated by 1-cm markings along its length. If inserted to the 5 -cm mark, the end of the catheter will protrude 0.5 cm beyond the tip of the mounting bolt (approximately within the subarachnoid space)
