This is a very old unused black and white/sepia postcard of Hayes Barton. Birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh. I have no idea of the exact age of the card, but it must be from the early 1900s, as the card asks for a halfpenny stamp, which was the postage rate at that time. It is a Frith’s Series, by F Frith & Co Ltd, Reigate, numbered 26254 and the card is in very good condition – no creases or obvious marks, even the corners remain mostly sharp.
