Original 9 5/8 inch x 7 1/2 inch Portrait of WALTER RILLA in the 1949 Ronald Neame Adventure GOLDEN SALAMANDER, based on the novel by Victor Canning.
Portrait by Cornel Lucas.
Born in 1923 Lucas was a world-renowned Rank Studios photographer known for his legendary black-and-white portraits of stars including Joan Collins, Brigitte Bardot, Lauren Bacall, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn and Diana Dors, among many others.

GOLDEN SALAMANDER, a Ronald Neame production, is based on the novel by Victor Canning and co-stars Trevor Howard and Anouk. The film is produced by Alexander Galperson and directed by Ronald Neame. Portrait by Cornel Lucas.
