GI’s Singing Chip – Newspaper Article on General Instrument’s AY-3-1350 Integrated Circuit that can play musical tunes

• Condition: Used and has been cut out from the original newspaper and stuck onto a thin green card. See images for condition.
• Comments: The General Instrument’s AY-3-1350 fourteen pins (on each side) integrated circuit was one of the world’s first chip designed to play musical tunes. The standard IC came with 25 tunes, but it could be programmed to play up to 251. It could even download tunes from external PROMs. This would be of interest to someone wanting to collect memorabilia of the electronics available in the 1970’s or people interested in computer history.
