Rollie Tyler is one of the movies' best special effects artists, known as "F/X" in the industry. He faces his most challenging assignment--turning special effects into reality. He is asked by the Justice Department to stage the fake assassination of an underworld witness. Now his F/X ingenuity becomes the key to his own survival. 

Hard not to like this movie: Full of action, full of unexpected reversals, and with a very satisfying ending. The acting is first rate, and the use of "Mission Impossible" special effects add a novel--if not always persuasive--dimension. On the other hand, there is a murkiness regarding certain aspects of the plot, or the necessity for the violence in certain scenes, including a car chase sequence which totally ignores the mortal danger to innocent bystanders. (Well, it's 1986, and political correctness is not all that prevalent yet.) Definitely worth watching.
