bw247 Antique real photo postcard circa 1905 entitled "Absense" which the Eton College glossary of school terms translates " A check to see whether any boys are absent without leave. House masters conduct regular absences within their houses, and there is a grand formal absence on the Fourth of June when the Head Master and a team of other masters read "Absense" in the School Yard and its vicinity". The card is unused with some age fading and a little surface graded vg and this card has such character from 110 years ago
