This design works best if a range of values is being used. Values are best seen in relation to the other chosen fabrics. Half of the required fabrics should be on the lighter side, the other half on the darker side.
Both projects were sewn from a selection of batiks by Hoffman International.
• sewing and rotary equipment, including 12½” square ruler
• matching thread for piecing and quilting
• marking pencil for light and dark fabrics
