Der Mäuseturm Mouse Tower Art painting by Astudin early 20th C. H&B PC 101

This is a vintage original postcard from early 20th C. and was kept in a thick paper album with corner straps that belonged to my late grandfather. The image shows a painting of Der Mäuseturm Mouse Tower. On rear it has "HDer Mäuseturm erhielt seine heutige Gestalt im Jahre 1856, besteht jedoch bereits seit der Mitte des XIII. Jahr-hunderts. Die grausige Sage, deren Schauplatz er bildet, siehe in Wilhelm Rulands Rheinischem Sagenbuch. Heute dient der Mäuseturm als Signalwarte der Schiffahrt. Gegen-über am Rüdesheimer Berg erblicken wir die Ruinen der Burg Ehrenfels." Publisher Hoursch & Bechstedt in Köln am Rhein No. 101 Unposted, rear is unwriten. Size 140 x 89 mm. It is in Good condition for age, see scans (which clearly show ALL edges). For protection it will be posted in an acid free plastic sleeve in a "Do not bend" card backed envelope.
