AOAP20  This is a rarely found specialist postcard of this painting of this unique work of art by Royal Academy abstract artist Chris Daniels called Machbands Study that was part of an annual awards event with artist and painting identification on reverse which this award souvenir is unused and mint.

Daniels makes abstract paintings primarily concerned with form and colour. Masking tape is used to control the edges of the geometric forms placed over a flatly painted background. Using an intuitive and non-scientific approach to colour combinations, Daniels works these through a series of paintings utilising the same formal compositions to create a contrasting visual experience for the viewer.
