Original British 30 inch by 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1959 Roy Boulting & Jeffrey Dell Comedy CARLTON-BROWNE OF THE F.O. starring Peter Sellers, Terry-Thomas, Ian Bannen, Luciana Paluzzi, Thorley Walters, Miles Malleson, Raymond Huntley, John Le Mesurier, Marie Lohr, Kynaston Reeves, Ronald Adam, Nicholas Parsons , Irene Handl, Mario Fabrizi, Harry Locke, Basil Dignam, Sam Kydd, Marianne Stone, Kenneth Griffith and Marne Maitland.
The Boulting Brothers’ send-up of the Foreign Office has the inestimable blessing of ambassador Terry-Thomas and corrupt foreign premier Sellers as stars, as well as cuddly uncles Walters, Huntley and le Mesurier as supporting turns.
Poster art by Walter Amstutz (1902 - 1997). Author of “Who’s Who in Graphic Art” (1962) an illustrated book of reference to the world's leading graphic designers, illustrators typhographers and carthonists. Co-founder with Walter Herdeg of the bi-monthly Graphis magazine in 1948.
The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes and a nick at the foot of the vertical centre fold.
