The FDC has a pair of stamps cancelled by cds FDI on official Limited Edition Cover. This cover has a production run of only 8 covers. Position of cancellation and stamps may differ slightly from image shown. Issued on 21 March 2025, this is the third stamp issue in CILP's Aviators Series. It features Supermarine Spitfires MkVBs landing at RAF Rochford in 1942, the squadron badge, and ground staff. The stamp commemorates the American volunteers of the three 'Eagle' Squadrons in RAF service, in particular No.121 'Eagle' Sqn RAF that flew from airfields in Essex. |
