 Bruxelles La Bourse  POST CARD, posted on 28 IV 1919 by Paul DONY, rue De Lescluze, 25, BERCHEM-ANVERS to Miss Stella Heath, "Merrimu" 9 Park Avenue, Ashfield, NSW, Australia, in good condition. Stamps used in front of cover have been removed, probably by Miss Heath for her collection.

The message of the postcard reads .."Dear Miss Heath, Your p.c. of the 14th March .... Thanks for same. I shall be delighted to exchange some more with you. Please have them awlays stamped on the picture-side with 1 or 3 different stamps each. Do you also collect stamps? I should be pleased to received some used ones of your country & .....". Appears to be a correspondence between Paul and Stella on exchaging of postcards and possibly stamps between Belgium and Australia in the early 20th century (1919).
 

Berchem is a southern district of the municipality and city of Antwerp in the Flemish Region of Belgium. Berchem is located along the old Grote Steenweg that has connected Brussels to Antwerp for several centuries; the town borders the districts of Deurne, Borgerhout, Wilrijk and Antwerp and the municipality of Mortsel

La Bourse de Bruxelles building is the stock exchange of Brussels. The grand old lady of Brussels is a staggeringly beautiful classically inspired building. The front of the building is especially with it's classically Greek hexastyle portico topped with a highly ornate pediment with sculptures. This building and the adjacent Grand Place dominate the Îlot Sacré area with their sheer majesty.
