These black prints are officially produced by the Austrian Post Office. They are,
as the name suggests, monochrome prints on paper, produced in limited
quantities from the same dies that are used to produce the actual postage
stamps. Unlike the postage stamps, however, they are not valid for postage and
cannot be used as such.
