Huston’s noir masterpiece has inspired countless imitations and was vastly admired by the master of the French gangster thriller Jean-Pierre Melville. Menacing blond hunk Dix Handley (Hayden) concocts a plan to steal $1 million in jewels and teams up with criminal mastermind Doc Riedenschneider who’s just got out of jail but wants to pull off one last job before retiring to the pure air of Mexico.
The still is in very good condition.
